Wormhole Remote, coming soon to the iPad, is an app that gives you easy wireless access to the apps running on your Mac, right from your iPad. The app’s creator is Nate True – former iPhone Dev Team member, and a very talented developer and inventor.
Millions of iOS apps may be coming to the Mac thanks to Project Catalyst Apple has officially launched a new framework that will make it easy for developers to create Mac versions of their iPhone. IPhone and iPad apps — Apps that are already available on the iPhone or iPad will be able to run natively on Apple silicon-powered Macs. That means Mac owners will have a much larger library of. There are a ton of apps that I would love to have good macOS equivalents of (Overcast, Sprout Baby+, Dark Sky, Channels to name a few), but only if they are truly desktop apps and not just iPad app ports. Meaning, they have to be designed for the larger screen and take advantage of the menu bar, keyboard, and have a UI designed for a mouse.
A timeline for bringing iOS apps to the Mac suggests that iPad apps will come this year, iPhone apps next year, and universal binaries in 2021. Now tech blog WABetaInfo – which regularly reveals new WhatsApp features – says the app is coming to iPad and macOS. 2 WhatsApp Web is the only way to use WhatsApp on a Mac – but you'll need.
The app looks great in screencaps and it is another one I am very keen to see.
